Preparing well-structured drafts using digital word processing and publishing platforms.
You will be writing and publishing various types of pieces for our Company’s websites, articles, e-books, newsletters and social media posts.
You will also be responsible to produce marketing pieces to advertise our products, writing blog posts about industry-related topics and promoting our content on social media. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with digital publishing and generating traffic and leads for new business.
Ultimately, your functions would be to reach our target audience by delivering both useful and appealing online information about our Company, products and services.
Research industry-related topics
Prepare well-structured content using digital publishing platforms
Interview company & industry professionals and incorporate their views to create effective content may it be for posts, articles, social media, podcasts, video or other.
Edit and proofread written pieces before publication
Conduct keyword research and use SEO guidelines to optimize content in conjunction with the Marketing Team.
Identify customers’ needs and recommend new topics
Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles effectively.
Measure web traffic to content (e.g. conversion and bounce rates) in conjunction with the Marketing team.
Proven work experience as an Editor, Content Creator, Copy Writer or similar role
Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems
Excellent writing and editing skills in English
An ability to fact-check long-form content pieces
Verify facts during research for potential publications.
Plan the content of digital media and publications according to the company’s style and editorial policy
Develop story and content ideas while being mindful of the audience, target market and industries.
Plan, coordinate, and revise material for publication in books, newspapers, magazines, or websites.
Review story ideas and decide what material will appeal most to readers.
Familiarity with electronic publishing, graphics, web design, and multimedia production is important as well.

Bachelor’s degree in communication or journalism
Extensive experience within the Construction / Civil or Engineering industries with Editorial, Content Creation and Copywriting
Salary: R20 000 – R25 000
Working hours: Monday to Friday 7:30 – 16:30.
